Your 5 welcome credits can be used to try out the public styles in our style library and make use of our AI-powered editing tools. Don’t worry if you use all your credits before your preview model is ready - we’ll give you 3 bonus credits to test it out.
While on the free plan, any generations you make with public styles are visible on the public internet. However, when you’re using your trial model all the images you upload and create are completely private.
The private plan is perfect for anyone using exactly.ai independently - freelance designers, artists and creatives of all types.
On the private plan you’ll get access to 150 credits which renew each month. You can use these credits freely to train custom styles (15 credits each), generate images and use ai-editing tools (1 credit each). If you don’t use your credits by the end of the month they’ll roll-over into next month’s balance.
This plan also unlocks vectorised downloads for your generations.
Everything you create on the Private plan is completely private and can’t be found on the internet - unless you post it!
Private plus is perfect for small teams who need to generate more images or models and who need aditional support and guidance on adopting ethical generative AI for their work. If you’re an individual - don’t worry! This plan is still available to you if you need to make more use of exactly.
Each private plus subscription comes with three seats. That means you can invite your colleagues to use exactly.ai with a shared credit balance, models and (coming soon!) a shared workspace.
With 1000 credits per month, each user has the complete flexibility to generate as many models and images as they need.
This plan also allows you to download unwatermarked previews from the style library to use in mock-ups and presentations for client work.

The Free Public plan allows you to explore the exactly.ai workspace and public models. With your 5 welcome credits you can generate and refine images which are featured on public search.
You can also train a preview model to see how exactly.ai’s style transfer process captures your aesthetic. However, to have complete access to this model you will need to upgrade to a paid plan.
The Paid Private plan unlocks the full feature set of exactly.ai. Your work is private, meaning your generations are only visible to you. The plan also provides 150 credits per month, which can be used flexibly for generating images or training models. Any unused credits will roll-over to the next month. Additionally, you have access to commercial licenses for images created with your models and can purchase licenses for those made with public models, ensuring the copyright you need to use generated content for your business. Images you choose to download will be watermark free and up to 8k resolution or vectorised.
We do not offer a trial period for paid plans, but the Free Public plan allows you to explore our features with limited credits and no financial commitment.
You can downgrade from a Private plan to the Free Public plan at any time. However, please note that all accumulated credits will be permanently lost if you choose to downgrade. If you would like to keep your credits, consider pausing your subscription instead. This way, your unused credits will be preserved until you decide to reactivate your plan.

No, credits are solely for accessing features like training models, generating images, or purchasing licences. Subscription upgrades require direct payment.
There’s no cap on how many credits you can accumulate. If your plan supports credit rollovers, unused credits will carry over month-to-month without restriction.
Credits are non-refundable. However, they roll over on eligible plans (Private and Private Plus), allowing you to use them in subsequent months.
Yes, if you subscribe to a paid plan, you can use images for commercial purposes. The paid plan includes a commercial license for images generated with your own models or Verified Public Models. Free Public plan users do not have a commercial license for their images.
A commercial licence allows you to purchase the rights to use an image generated using an exactly.ai public style for your business. They allow us to compensate the illustrators who host their AI models on our platform.
Our commercial licences are divided into three types: personal, digital and unlimited.
Personal licences are for non-commercial use like personal projects, such as home decor, gifting, or personal social media.
Digital licences allow for commercial use of the image across websites, digital ads, and social media. Resale or redistribution of the file itself is not allowed.
Unlimited licences allow for unrestricted usage in digital and print materials for large-scale campaigns, merchandise, and branding. Resale or redistribution of the file itself is allowed.

No, when you train your own model you can download the images for free.
Commercial licences for images and models are permanent once purchased. You retain full usage rights as specified in the licence terms.

Every time you purchase a commercial licence using a creator’s style model half the licence fee is paid to the creator.
A Public Model is a model created and trained by a user on exactly.ai and published on our platform under exactly.ai/models. There are two types of Public Models:
Verified Public Models – Images produced with these models can be used for commercial purposes.
Public Models – Images produced with these models cannot be used for commercial purposes.
All style models submitted for publication undergo a verification process to ensure they meet quality, originality and provenance standards. Once approved, your model will be available in our marketplace, and you can start earning credits.
Artists who publish and verify their models earn revenue whenever subscribers purchase commercial licences to images created using their models. exactly.ai shares revenue with artists based on the number of images licenced using their verified models.
